Central Maine Motors to Sponsor Dirty Dog Mud Run and New Balance to Sponsor Kid Run Web Director | February 20, 2018

WATERVILLE, MAINE, February 2018 — Central Maine Motors will sponsor Thomas College’s fourth annual Dirty Dog Mud Run on April 15 at Thomas College.

The Thomas College Dirty Dog Mud Run is a 5K, 14-obstacle course that loops through the woods and campus. Obstacles range from monkey bars, tire flips, mud crawl, bucket carry, three/four/five foot walls, and trails.

New courses this year include a water cannon, hay bale covert to crawl over and through, and a net crawl through the mud!

“The reason why Central Maine Motors Auto Group AutoGroup chooses to be a part of the Dirty Dog Mud Run is because it’s a great way to unite our team with a challenge that is fun, different and rewarding,” said owner of Central Maine Motors, Chris Gaunce. “To see everyone on our team support each other with the common goal of conquering the course is awe inspiring! The cheers, the laughing, the words of encouragement and the look of determination on the faces make this event truly rewarding in so many ways! This looks to be our biggest team yet and we can’t wait to dive in to get down and dirty!”

The Dirty Dog Mud Run on April 15 is fun for the whole family, with a kids’ race, food trucks, and a DJ.

The kids’ race, the Pup Run, is sponsored again this year by New Balance.

“The Dirty Dog Run and Mud Pup Run tie-in closely with our focus on promoting healthy physical activity, nutrition, and healthier lifestyle choices for children, teens, and their families. A little bit of mud just adds to the fun!” says New Balance’s Kate Bartley.

Registration is now open online at thomas.edu/mud-run for the April 15 race. The cost of the run is $45, and is open to any and all community members. All proceeds support Thomas College’s student recreation. In the past, we have purchased exercise bikes, built an outdoor ice rink, and installed flooring in the fitness center.
