Rehearsal is scheduled for Friday, May 12, at 1 p.m. in the gym. Graduate Division students should bring their hoods to rehearsal. A cap and gown are not required for rehearsal.
Commencement
Commencement is scheduled for Saturday, May 13 at 1 p.m. The ceremony will be held in the Harold Alfond Athletic Center. All graduates must be present in cap and gown to line up at 12 p.m. Please register in the gym lobby. The procession will begin promptly at 1:00 p.m.
Cap and Gown Pickup
Caps and gowns will be available for pickup in the Registrar’s office prior to Commencement Weekend. You will be notified when your cap and gown are available for pickup.

As we approach the 2023 Thomas College Commencement, I would like to share with you some information about the events planned for the weekend. For more information, please visit our main Commencement website.
Rehearsal is scheduled for Friday, May 12, at 1:00 p.m. in the gym. Graduate Division students should bring their hoods to rehearsal. A cap and gown are not required for rehearsal.
Honors Convocation is scheduled for Friday, May 12, at 4:00 p.m. in the Alfond Athletic Center. At the Honors Convocation, the College will recognize the following graduates:
- Undergraduate students with honors (students with a final cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher)
- Members of Alpha Chi
- Veterans, both undergraduate and graduate
- The Thomas Scholar, the undergraduate student(s) graduating this year with the highest cumulative GPA
- Class Speakers and Class Marshals

The Class of 2023 Dinner for all graduates and their guests will be held Friday, May 12 at 5:30 p.m. in the Spann Student Commons. Seating for dinner is limited and pre-registration is required. Dinner registration and purchase of dinner tickets will be available on the commencement website beginning March 30 at 12:00 noon.

Seating in the fieldhouse is on a first-come, first-served basis. The fieldhouse will be open to the public beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday morning. Immediately following graduation, there will be a reception on the Ayotte Auditorium lawn. Commencement photos will be available from Central Maine Photography (www.centralmainephotography.org) approximately two weeks after graduation.
Caps and gowns will be available for pick-up in the Registrar’s office prior to Commencement Weekend – you will be notified when your cap/gown is available for pick-up.
