Calling all high school future business leaders and entrepreneurs! Spend a day with Thomas College’s high caliber business educators and engage in innovative and collaborative activities that will give you insight into the world of business.
Sessions throughout the day will take you through the process of generating product/service ideas, product development and then develop the specifics and a marketing plan. At the end of the day, students will present the “pitch” of their business or service for feedback.
8:30 – 9:00 a.m.: Registration and Welcome, Hall of Flags- Admissions Staff
9:00 – 9:30 am: Session 1: Create, Dr. Don Cragen
This session includes the percolation of ideas. You’ll identify problems in life and come up with solutions in the form of a product idea.
9:40 – 10:40 a.m.: Session 2, Product Development, Dr. Dan Leland
You’ll take your solutions and find and develop steps to come up with a product concept.
10:50 – 11:30 a.m.: Session 3: Commercialization and Sales, Dr. Ryan Wheaton
Learn about e-retail and how you can take your product locally and get national exposure.
11:40 a.m – 12:30 p.m.: The “Shark Tank” Pitch
You’ll pitch your product idea to guest judges and get feedback about next steps.
