British Library Sounds presents 50,000 recordings and their associated documentation from the Library’s collections of unique sound recordings which come from all over the world and cover the entire range of recorded sound: music, drama and literature, oral history, wildlife and environmental sounds.

This is a community music remixing site featuring remixes and samples licensed under Creative Commons licenses. You are free to download and sample from music on this site and share the results…. Some songs might have certain restrictions, depending on their specific licenses. Each submission is marked clearly with the license that applies to it.

This site is full of downloadable music (subject to Creative Commons licensing) to use in presentations. The tracks are searchable by keyword, genre, licensing and more.

The Free Music Archive is an interactive library of high-quality, legal audio downloads directed by WFMU, the most renowned freeform radio station in America.

Freesound aims to create a huge collaborative database of audio snippets, samples, recordings, bleeps,… released under Creative Commons licenses that allow their reuse… We also aim to create an open database of sounds that can also be used for scientific research and be integrated in third party applications.
