Commencement Information for Students
Rehearsal is scheduled for Friday, May 10, at 1:00 p.m. in the gym. Graduate Division students should bring their hoods to rehearsal. A cap and gown are not required for rehearsal.
Honors Convocation is scheduled for on Friday, May 10, at 4:00 p.m. in the Alfond Athletic Center. At the Honors Convocation, the College will recognize the following graduates:
- Undergraduate students with honors
- Members of Alpha Chi
- Veterans who choose to be recognized, both undergraduate and graduate
- The Thomas Scholar, the undergraduate student(s) graduating this year with the highest cumulative GPA.
- Class Speakers and Class Marshals

The Class of 2019 Reception for all graduates and their guests will take place on the Ayotte Auditorium Lawn on Friday, May 10 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The Class of 2019 Dinner will also be held Friday, May 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the Spann Student Commons. Seating for dinner is limited and pre-registration is required.
Commencement is scheduled for Saturday, May 11 at 1:00 p.m. The ceremony will be held in the Harold Alfond Athletic Center. Please let your guests know that tickets will not be required and that seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis. The ceremony will be streamed lived via the Thomas website. Anyone requiring special needs or accommodations should contact Nancy Charette in Advancement (Alumni House) at firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 207-859-1104 or extension 104. All graduates must be present in cap and gown to line up at 12:00 p.m. Please register in the gym lobby. The procession will begin promptly at 1:00 p.m.
Immediately following graduation, there will be a reception on the Ayotte Auditorium lawn. Commencement photos will be available from Mark Huard Photography (www.centralmainephotography.org) approximately two weeks after graduation. For more information view their flyer.
Printed announcements will be available for pick up in the Registrar’s office starting March 5.
Caps and gowns will be available for pick-up in the Registrar’s office beginning Monday, April 15.
