Meet the Class of 2018: Scott Boies Web Director | July 18, 2018

Scott Boies ’18 is a true Thomas College rock star. The epitome of well-rounded, Scott is a Terrier through and through.

Since coming to Thomas, Scott has been involved with and become the President of the Accounting Society and the Treasurer of Student Senate, participated in the Thomas Golf Guarantee, worked as a Peer Mentor and Orientation Leader, and has worked as the Announcer and Event Staff for the Athletic Department. He also spent tax season volunteering at the United Way.

All of Scott’s hard work paid off at Commencement. Scott was the undergraduate speaker, the Thomas Scholar (the graduate with the highest GPA), and was honored with the Thomas Award, the most prestigious award given to a senior based on scholarship, leadership, and service to the College and community.

“Thomas has been my home for four years, and it’s been an amazing experience. I am grateful for all the opportunities presented to me, and I’m very lucky to have had the professors that I’ve had. I’ve also gotten to meet some of my best friends at Thomas, and because of all these reasons, it’s truly been a well-rounded experience.”

Scott, from Baileyville, ME, just graduated with his Bachelor’s in Accounting. This summer, he is the finance/accounting intern at Maine Municipal Bond Bank. In the fall, he will return to Thomas for an Accelerated Master’s in Business Administration- Accounting.

He hopes to work for a public accounting firm in Maine after completing his graduate program.
