WATERVILLE, November 2017 – Thomas College and the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce will host a Business Breakfast on Marketing: Branding Your Business. The breakfast will be held on Thursday, December 7, from 7:15 to 9:00 a.m. in the Spann Student Commons Summit Room on Thomas College’s campus at 180 West River Road in Waterville.
Sheldon Perkins, Senator Account Executive at Vreeland Marketing, will discuss what a brand is and how applying a brand consistently over time can generate exponential results.
Perkins is an experienced marketing strategist with a deep interest in branding and positioning. His more than 25 years in marketing includes work on the client side and as an agency principal. In the 1990s, he garnered industry recognition for product and marketing innovation as active sports Product Developer for L.L. Bean, where he developed products and merchandising strategies for hundreds of consumer products sold across multiple channels. Following that, he launched and grew his own full-service marketing firm focused on the high tech, alternative energy, and sustainability sectors. He has launched international brands, steered mature companies through transitions in difficult times, and continually brought fresh new ideas to long-time clients year after year. At Vreeland, he applies his understanding of big business, consumer behavior, and strategic marketing to provide outstanding client service and effective, measurable campaign strategies.
