Child Care Management (BS)

Child Care Management Degree Overview

This program prepares you to own, operate, and/or direct a high-quality private or public child care center and education center and/or business. It includes opportunities for field work and internships with Educare Central Maine, family-based or center-based child care, and nonprofit agencies in the child care industry. Our courses blend child development, Maine child care licensure, marketing, entrepreneurship, and small business management. Students will also network with early care professionals by participating in local, state, and national early childhood public policy forums.

This program does not require state certification.

“I love that the program gives me the opportunity to have both education and management courses so I didn’t have to major in one and minor in the other. Thomas College overall has been an amazing school with some of the best professors and courses. I have learned about so much valuable information and tools that I know I will use once I graduate.”
