Monkey-Pox (M-Pox)
There is ongoing concern throughout the country and our state about the spread of Monkey-Pox. There are many questions about how to protect and prevent the spread and information is updated daily.
Thomas College is monitoring information from the Maine CDC for updates of concern. A list of resource websites are below:
- US CDC About M-Pox (https://www.cdc.gov/poxvirus/monkeypox/about.html)
- Maine CDC M-Pox (https://www.maine.gov/dhhs/mecdc/infectious-disease/epi/zoonotic/monkeypox.shtml)
Remember the prevention guidelines we use for the viruses that present themselves to us every year:
- Practice good hand hygiene
- Stay home if you are sick

Influenza,” The Flu”
The state of Maine is asking us to once again take a prevention approach to assure we stay as well as possible this year.
We will be proactive in this approach here at the Thomas College Health Center.
As we enter into the season for “The Flu,“ Health Services will be offering our campus community Walk-in Flu Vaccination Clinics:
- 2-5pm on Tuesday, October 18
This will be in the Spann Student Commons, Berry Dunn Meeting Room.
No appointment necessary, just walk-in and it is at no cost to you!
