IT Services checks each room for data, phone, and cable television port damages after current residents move out and prior to new residents moving in. If room ports are found to be damaged, the previous tenant of the room is billed for the room damage. The room damage charge is currently $25.00 for repairs that require less than $12.00 in parts and materials, and less than one hour of time to perform. If repairs require more than one hour of time to complete, or more than $12.00 of materials, then the tenant will be charged more than $25.00, according to the amount of materials and staff time required.
