Terrier STAR: Mike Goldman Web Director | October 1, 2019

Mike Goldman is known for being a supportive boss and colleague who gets things done for the betterment of the College.

A two-year employee of Thomas College, Mike is the Head of Building Maintenance Trades. He’s being honored for his exceptional customer service, being a team player, providing a personal experience, completion of a project, and improving systems/processes.

“Mike is not a boss; he is a boots-on-the-ground leader. He embodies all the characteristics listed above, and, along with Matt, has led this crew to the best position it’s ever been in,” said a colleague.

Mike’s skills and knowledge in his area has saved the school money and helped the College going forward.

“Mike was instrumental in fixing an electrical problem we had in one classroom for four years,” said a top College official. “Mike worked with our electrician and myself in a timely way and in a professional, timely and courteous manner to get this fixed. He kept me up-to-date along the way making me feel he was doing everything in his power to resolve their problem as quickly as possible.”

He is instrumental for departments across campus, but his compassion and hardworking nature is felt deeply within his own department of Physical Plant as well.

“Mike is a wealth of knowledge and shares it with all of us. Mike has started many projects on our campus that has given it a beautiful appearance,” said another coworker. “Thank you for being a good leader and helping each and every one of us work to make Thomas College a nicer place to work.”
