Thomas College Alumnus Wins Prestigious National Accounting Award Web Director | April 23, 2019

David Stone M.B.A. ’18 recently was awarded the Elijah Watts Sells Award by the American Institute of CPAs based on his high score on the CPA Exam. The CPA Exam, which was taken by 86,000 applicants last year, consists of four parts. This award recognizes individuals who take all four parts and pass each part with at least a 95.5% score. Of the 86,000 who sat for the exam last year, only 110 individuals did this – and David is one of them.

“I could not be more honored to be the recipient of such a prestigious award in the accounting profession,” said David. “However, although it is only my name displayed, this is just as much an award for myself as it is for Thomas College. This award is a testament to the caliber of professors and students at the college. And, my graduate-level education at Thomas College most definitely contributed to this achievement.”
