Head Ice Hockey Coach (Part-Time)

Thomas College is seeking a dynamic and energetic individual for the position of Head Ice Hockey Coach. Located in central Maine, Thomas College is a member of the North East Collegiate Hockey Association (NECHA) in club ice hockey. This part-time position will be responsible for the management and administration of the ice hockey program including coaching, scheduling, conditioning, contest preparation, scouting, practice planning, budget preparation, fundraising, purchase/care of equipment, planning/supervision of team travel and monitoring of academic progress of student-athletes.
Qualifications: The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and prior intercollegiate playing and/or coaching experience. Candidates must have the ability to pass motor vehicle and criminal background checks and are required to successfully complete a van/mini-bus familiarization course. Successful completion of CPR/AED certification also required. The candidate will have the ability to work as a team member in the Department of Athletics and the college community. Preference will be given to candidates with experience recruiting student-athletes at the collegiate level. Experience in higher education and a basic familiarity with athletics in New England at the high school and/or collegiate level are also preferred.

Assistant Women's Basketball Coach

Thomas College, a NCAA Division III institution and member of the North Atlantic Conference (NAC), in Waterville, ME is accepting applications for a part-time Assistant Women's Basketball Coach.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the head coach with coaching practices and games, recruitment and retention of students, and compliance with NCAA Division III and NAC rules and regulations.

Previous college and/or high school playing or coaching experience is expected. Valid driver's license is required.

Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach

Thomas College, a NCAA Division III institution and a member of the North Atlantic Conference in Waterville, Maine seeks a dynamic and energetic individual for the position of Assistant Coach in Women’s Lacrosse. This is a part-time, hourly position that will assist the head coach in the day to day operations of the team and will adhere to all policies and procedures of Thomas College, the Athletic Department and all rules/regulations of the NCAA and NAC.

Operations of the program will include developing knowledge of and abiding by current NCAA and NAC rules and regulations regarding recruiting, eligibility and sport-specific rules concerning practice and playing seasons, maintaining knowledge of current sport game rules and changes to those rules as they occur, assisting the head coach with all phases of the organization of the program as requested by the head coach, including practice planning, contest management, recruiting, fundraising, and other responsibilities, conducting oneself in an ethical manner during practices and contests and demanding appropriate behavior from all team personnel, representing the program at department meetings and functions in the absence of the head coach and other duties as requested.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required, prior intercollegiate playing and coaching experience preferred. Motor vehicle and criminal background record checks are required of all applicants.
