Before You Apply for Undergraduate Admissions

  • English Language Proficiency Non-U.S. applicants are required to provide evidence  of proficiency in the English language in one of the following areas:
    • Minimum TOEFL IBT score of 72
    • Minimum IELTS score of 5.5
    • Minimum Oxford ELLT score of 5
    • Minimum PTE score of 53
    • Minimum Duolingo score of 105
  • Kaplan Test of English (KTE) – An easy-to-access online English test that can be taken anywhere, anytime.
    • Use DISCOUNT CODE: THOMKRS25 to claim a 25% discount. Enter the code on the KTE Test Booking Form to claim.
    • You’ll receive your KTE certificate within 5 working days of completing the test.

Graduate Application Process

  1. Submit a free application.
  2. Official transcripts  should be submitted through Thomas College’s SpanTran Portal
  3. Request two letters of reference from employers, mentors, professors, or college advisors you feel are best suited to speak to your ability to succeed in a graduate program. In the application portal, you will be asked to enter the name and contact information for two professional references. This will send an automated email with a personalized upload link directly to your references where they can upload their letter.
  4. A minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 is expected for admittance. Applicants who have met the program prerequisites and have an undergraduate GPA of 2.5-2.9 may be reviewed by the Provost for consideration of admission to a graduate program. Relevant professional work experience is considered if the undergraduate GPA admission criteria is not met.
  5. Optional Materials:
    • Current resume or Curriculum Vitae
    • Statement of Purpose essay outlining your rationale for pursuing advanced education in light of current educational, career, and personal goals.

International Graduate Admissions

Only residents of Canada and Bermuda are eligible to participate in online Graduate degree programs at Thomas College. International students applying to the in-person MBA program must have an undergraduate degree in Business or a related field and have an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher. International students who have not earned an accounting degree from an American University are not eligible to enter the in-person MBA Accounting program.

International Scholarships

Graduate Resident Merit Scholarship:

  • Full-time, On-Campus (In-Person) MBA Program: Up to $18,000 annually
  • Full-time, Online graduate students who live on campus: Up to $15,000 annually
