Graduate

Only residents of Canada and Bermuda are eligible to participate in online Graduate degree programs at Thomas College. International students applying to the in-person MBA program must have an undergraduate degree in Business or a related field and have an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher. International students who have not earned an accounting degree from an American University are not eligible to enter the in-person MBA Accounting program.

International Admissions Instructions

The below application instructions are also listed on the application portal to help you track submitted and outstanding materials.

  1. Online Application: All applicants for admission at Thomas College must complete the free online graduate application.
  2. Undergraduate GPA Requirements: The in-person Master of Business Administration program provides students with intensive specialized management education in a wide range of subjects designed to expose students to theoretical and applied business scenarios. A cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 is required for admittance due to the accelerated nature of this in-person program. To help ensure that a student has the foundational business knowledge necessary to succeed in the program, applicants are encouraged to have competency in statistics, economics, and accounting demonstrated by earning a “C” or better in those courses or related experience. Applicants without coursework in each of these subject areas or direct work experience in these fields may not be eligible for admission.
  3. Official Undergraduate Transcripts: Applicants must submit official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions previously attended through the SpanTran portal. International transcripts must be evaluated by a third-party and Thomas College has partnered with SpanTran to provide this required evaluation. The cost of a SpanTran evaluation will be deducted from your tuition if you are accepted and attend Thomas College. However, before you pursue the cost of a formal transcript evaluation, if you would like to have a preliminary transcript analysis conducted by our office to see if you have completed the prerequisite coursework expected for admission, you can email an unofficial copy of your transcripts to [email protected] and request that an admissions counselor complete a preliminary review.
  4. Letters of Recommendation: Request two letters of reference from individuals who you feel are best suited to speak to your ability to succeed in a graduate program. In the application portal, you will be asked to enter the name and contact information for two professional references. This will send an automated email with a personalized upload link directly to your references where they can upload their letter and complete this required step. Recommendations can be submitted by employers, mentors, professors, or college advisors.
  5. English Proficiency Exam Score (TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo): Our minimum requirements are: 72 for TOEFL, 5.5 for IELTS, and 105 for Duolingo. If English was the medium of instruction used in your undergraduate studies, this requirement can be waived.
  6. Estimated Cost of Attendance Letter and Declaration of Finance Form: International applicants seeking admission to the in-person MBA program are asked to review the estimated cost of attendance document. A Declaration of Finance form and accompanying documents must be completed but will not be available until an applicant has completed a SpanTran evaluation.

Merit Aid: Applicants for graduate admission will only qualify for merit if they live on-campus, and we’ll automatically consider you for available scholarships. For more information about financial assistance, please visit our Financial Services page.
