Career Navigators
Developing Professional Skills
Career Navigators are peer coaches focused on helping each student developing their professional skills. Through digital badging and workshops, students will be able to earn credentials for the new Guaranteed Job Program.
Digital Badging
Skills to Increase Employability
A digital badge is recognition for learning outside of the typical classroom environment. It is verified by an external entity and is skills and experience based. It incentivizes learning, measures growth, and creates innovative pathways to careers (Reelworks, 2020).
Thomas Innovation Challenge
Solving Real-World Problems
The Thomas Innovation Challenge encourages student innovation by tasking participants, who work in collaboration with Maine employers, to use design thinking for a semester-long project to solve real-world problems.
