The Thomas College Department of Safety & Security will build trust in the community through transparent actions and positive engagement, and will leverage technology, community policing, and employee development to build relationships that encourage community-oriented behaviors.

On behalf of the staff of the Thomas College Department of Safety and Security, we welcome you to our web page. We have the honor and privilege to work together with the community to make the campus a safe and respectful environment in which to live, learn, and grow.

The Thomas College Department of Safety and Security is a full service non-sworn campus law enforcement agency comprised of 13 staff members. Our officers receive field training, in-service training, and participate in a year-long self-study program. They have full authority to enforce the policies and procedures outlined in both the employee and student handbooks. We have built a strong tradition of community engagement and unified problem solving.

Our purpose is to help you achieve your teaching and learning goals in a safe and orderly environment. Further, we appreciate the importance of cultural and social growth. That is why we provide resources to support campus activities to include athletic events, cultural events, and performances. We urge you to take advantage of our educational programs on personal safety and emergency preparedness, as well as many of our community building activities.

Recognizing it takes a college community to grow scholars, we believe every member of the campus community has shared accountability for the success of Thomas College. As such, we are honored to participate in the academic process.
