Programs
T-CRU
The Department of Safety & Security has partnered with its colleagues in the Department of Residence Life to create the T-CRU (Terrier Community Relations Unit) Program. The program has divided our residence facilities into four resident groups: Grant/Parks/Heath Halls, Hinman & Bartlett Halls, the Village Apartments, and the Townhouse Apartments.
Each of these areas has a full-time Safety & Security Officer assigned to it with the goals of having the officer:
- Become an engaged member of the residence hall community, interacting with students, and serving as an adult mentor/liaison. In addition, the officer would be responsible for addressing safety & security related matters.
- Support Community Assistants in their role, recognizing that they are students first.
- Provide monthly Crime Prevention and Crime Awareness education.
- Assist Community Assistants with their programming requirements.
