Active Minds at Thomas College is dedicated to saving lives and to building stronger families and communities. Through education, research, advocacy, and focus on young adults ages 14-25, Active Minds is opening up the conversation about mental health and creating lasting change in the way mental health is talked about, cared for, and valued in the United States.

Future Business Leaders of America, Inc. (FBLA) is the largest business Career and Technical Student Organization in the world. Each year, FBLA helps over 230,000 members prepare for careers in business. FBLA inspires and prepares students to become community-minded business leaders in a global society through relevant career preparation and leadership experiences.

Morgan’s Message is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization that strives to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health within the student-athlete community and equalize the treatment of physical and mental health in athletics. Morgan’s Message aims to expand the dialogue on mental health by normalizing conversations, empowering those who suffer in silence, and supporting those who feel alone.

Queer Frequencies is the colleges LGBTQIA+ student-led organization and social support space for all students who identify as queer and their allies. Queer frequencies prides itself on creating programming and meetings that are social, educational and fun while ensuring an equitable and inclusive environment for everyone.

The focus of the Rotaract Club is to give back to the Thomas College community and the greater Waterville area. Rotaract Club strives to make community service as easy but effective as possible. Rotaract did a few deeds: create a Thanksgiving basket, participate in Santa’s Helpers, donate clothes and toys to the Children’s Home, and participate in the period project.

The Thomas College Special Olympics Club was formed to support the creation of a better world by utilizing the power of sports to foster the acceptance and inclusion of all people. The club fundraises annually to support Special Olympics Maine.  Our club works to bring awareness to the inclusion of all people; because we are one and there is no one person less than another. Our club strives to celebrate and embrace everyone’s uniqueness. 

The mission and goals of our club are to create a stronger bond between Special Olympic athletes and the Thomas College student body, to raise money for Special Olympics Maine, and to engage the Thomas College community in events that spread awareness for the inclusion of all people.

The Thomas College Student Athlete Inclusion and Diversity (TC SAID) Committee believes in fostering a community where everyone is welcomed. We are committed to educating and promoting inclusivity and diversity.

The group aims for peer-to-peer education about philanthropy, while also raising money for the Thomas Fund. To do so, members organize unique fundraisers to enhance the Thomas College experience for all.

Elected annually by the student body, it is the governing body for all students. Working closely with representatives of the College administration and faculty, Student Senate members inform them of student opinions and reactions while also representing their peers in the formation and execution of policies concerning general welfare. It also assists with funding for student clubs and groups.

Members of the Thomas College Republicans encourage active citizenship in the political processes that define the United States. Members will have the opportunity to meet other members of College Republicans through networking and conventions while also serving as advocates for voting and political activism on campus.
