Climate Crisis Poetry Reading Q&A

April 8 @ 1:15 pm - 2:30 pm
Free

Join us for an evening of poetry and conversation with Meghan Sterling, acclaimed poet of the climate crisis and Poet Laureate of Gardiner, Maine. Sterling’s work explores the intersections between the natural world and humanity, offering insight into the urgency of environmental preservation and the emotional depths of our changing planet.
The reading will be followed by a student Q&A, where attendees are invited to engage with Sterling on topics ranging from the environment and creative practice to the role of poetry in fostering awareness and change—or anything else that inspires curiosity.
This event is hosted by Professor Tapley’s EH347 Advanced Writing and Editing class and welcomes all members of the campus community who are interested in poetry, environmental issues, or the craft of writing.
