David Pease currently serves as SVP and Director of Talent, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging for Bangor Savings Bank. His role is both internally and externally focused working on building Bank talent and diversity, inclusion & belonging, as well as working external to build diverse workforce in Maine and NH. He is a graduate of the University of Southern Maine with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Lesley University with a Master’s of Science in Human Resources Management. David holds national designations – the Certified Diversity Professional (CDP), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from HRCI and the Senior Certified Profession in HR from SHRM (SHRM-SCP).
Prior to joining Bangor Savings Bank, David had 30 years of HR leadership experience including Chief Administrative Office/Chief Talent Officer at Androscoggin Bank, Vice President – Human Resources at Northern Lights Sebasticook Valley Hospital, Regional HR Director for The Hartford and Director of HR for USF&G Insurance. His experience includes responsibilities in HR, organization development, employee learning, leadership & career development, community relations, innovation, business intelligence, customer experience, marketing, branding and board governance. David has also served as an adjunct faculty member for Thomas College Graduate School, the Maine HR Convention and the New England Strategic HR Conference.
David is the former State Director of Maine SHRM and received the distinguished Maine HR Leader of the Year award. He received the Kenneth Curtis Leadership Award from Maine Development Foundation and Unsung Business Hero award from PROPEL Portland for creating a safe and inclusive work environment for employment.
David Pease is a frequent HR, leadership and DEI speaker throughout Maine and NH. He serves on numerous boards and advisory councils focused on employment, education, diversity & equity and workforce. David serves as mentor and coach to numerous students and professionals in all stages of their education and career.
