Kiaran McCormack is originally from Kilsaran, Ireland. In 2003 McCormack attended NCAA Division I University of Vermont. He then transferred to fellow NCAA Division I school University of Maine Orono, where he graduated with a degree in Kinesiology in 2008. McCormack was named to the NCAA Division I New England All-Star in his senior year at Orono and went on to get his master’s degree in Exercise Science from California University of Pennsylvania in 2012.
Kiaran will be re-joining us on August 1st as the Head Club Men’s Soccer Coach/Assistant Men’s Varsity Soccer Coach. Kiaran was on our coaching staff from 2011 to 2012 as an Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach. He comes to us from CMCC where he as worked for the past two years as the Head Men’s Soccer Coach. He is also the Founder, Owner and Director of BVU Soccer since 2011. Additionally, he is the Head Soccer Coach at Seacoast and Soccer Pro Coach at the Woodlands Country Club. Kiaran holds a B.S. in Kinesiology and an M.S. in Exercise Science.
Prior to coming to Thomas, McCormack served as the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Central Maine Community College (CMCC) for two years, during this time he guided the team to back-to-back Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) league titles and championships, both undefeated. In his time at CMCC McCormack coached several All-Conference and All-American players, and a Player of the Year. McCormack also won the YSCC Coach of the Year in both his seasons at CMCC.
In his free time Kiaran McCormack participates in obstacle course races across that have taken him across the United States.
