Biography
Patricia Hubel is a Mainer! She was born in Waterville, Maine and spent her pre-college years all in Palmyra, Maine. After high school, she attended Ball State University for my Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Physical Education with a minor in Athletic Training. The University of Wyoming was the second step on her educational journey (MS in Physical Education). After that Patricia worked in a clinical setting at a hospital in Minot, ND during which time she taught, provided sports medicine services to the general population, high school athletes, collegiate athletes, and semi-professional athletes. At that point, her interest in strength and conditioning was enhanced and she started a program at the hospital for athletic development. Patricia then worked in Tennessee and pursued another Master’s degree (Online Teaching and Learning) and a doctorate (Higher Education Administration). After years there, she moved back to Maine as Thomas College’s first full-time athletic trainer. In 2022, Patricia left Thomas College for employment in the industrial setting and while in this setting, completed her doctorate in Kinesiology.
