Bachelors (BS)

Thomas College offers a Bachelor of Science in Biology. This program also offers a pre-professional concentration, which provides the necessary pre-requisites for students seeking to continue their education in graduate studies including doctoral level biology, medicine, dentistry, veterinary, and physical therapy programs.

Using the new science labs, students will gain knowledge and technical skills they need to confidently enter careers in various laboratory and field sciences. Students will be able to explain the organization, structure, and function of unicellular and multicellular life; describe the interconnectedness of diverse forms of life; demonstrate proficiency in lab and field techniques using standard lab equipment while following accepted protocols; demonstrate competency in data analysis and presentation; and identify primary sources of scientific literature, analyze, interpret, and critically evaluate published data.

Pre-professional biology:
This track is designed to assist students whose long-term goal might include medical, dental, physical therapy or veterinary school. It will also help prepare students for the qualifying exams such as the MCAT exam.
