Terrier STAR: Amanda Kelly MacKenzie Riley Young | October 1, 2020
Amanda Kelly

Amanda Kelly is known both for working quickly and efficiently and for her warm and pleasant nature as she interacts with students, staff and faculty along the way.

Amanda, custodian at Thomas College for more than a year, is being recognized as this month’s Terrier STAR for her exceptional customer service and being a team player.

“White tornado comes to mind when I think of Amanda. From the very beginning of her employment at Thomas, the Ayotte Center has sparkled – and, she’s fast, very fast! Amanda goes out of her way to be helpful and consistently finds little, extra things she can do for you. Her positive, can-do attitude is contagious,” said a colleague.

Amanda is known for being timely and courteous while carrying out her job duties; she’s always mindful and respectful of staff and students in relation to work, meeting and learning spaces, noted another coworker. As students, faculty, and staff made their safe return to campus, Amanda has worked alongside her team to ensure buildings are clean and safe for the community – and she does so with a big smile (that can still be seen under her mask).
