Finding Her Promising Future MacKenzie Riley Young | May 11, 2022

When Miranda (Carroll) Hall ’16, M.B.A. ’17 first decided to attend Thomas College, her career goal was to work for one of the Big Four accounting firms. Five years after graduation, she’s already achieved that goal.

Thomas College helped bring Miranda’s promising future within reach with its premier accounting program and MBA-Accounting program.

“Thomas College emphasized the importance of networking and provided me with the foundational knowledge of accounting which is pivotal in my current role as I am required to provide accurate data and clear communication with all members of internal and external teams,” she said.

Miranda currently works as a Senior Associate in mergers and acquisitions at Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC). She’s very excited about this relatively new role.

Miranda’s journey to her current job wasn’t a straight line: “I tried several different areas of accounting before landing at PwC and those roles were integral to expanding my real-world knowledge of this field and also allowed for me to network across the state of Maine.”

She’s worked as an auditor for municipalities and schools, private health care accounting, and then returned to public accounting.

Overall, Thomas College helped Miranda on the path to her success through professors who guided her and for opportunities during and after graduation.
