Thomas College provides peer tutoring at no cost to current students in a variety of subjects, including accounting, computer science, economics, finance, history, management, marketing, math, political science, psychology, science, & writing.
Peer tutors are carefully selected and trained to provided student-centered assistance to students in individual and small-group tutoring sessions. Peer tutors focus on academic skills and goal-setting with students to facilitate active learning. Our program is nationally certified by the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA).
Peer Tutors are available for virtual and in-person drop-in hours and appointments. Strict health and safety protocols will be followed at all in-person appointments. - Virtual and in-person drop-in hours: Tutors are available for designated hours both virtually and in-person (see below). A pre-arranged appointment is not necessary. To start a virtual tutoring session during drop-in hours, simply scroll down to the tutor you wish to meet with and click on the appropriate virtual drop-in hours link. This will take you directly to a Teams meeting with them. You may also email or send them a message on Teams for help connecting. In-person drop-in hours are held in the Student Success Center (AL-112) and are limited to one student at a time
- By Appointment: Individual tutoring appointments are arranged with the tutor through email and will take place on Microsoft Teams or in an agreed upon socially-distanced location. Tutors will check their email regularly and reply within 24 hours.

Sean Adams (Accounting)
Sean is from Bangor, Maine and is an accounting major. He plays sports, video games, and is a huge soccer fan. If you bring up Liverpool FC you are automatically one of his friends. Sean can’t wait to help the community as a peer tutor!

Matthew Thebarge (Math, Computer Science)
Matthew is from Mechanic Falls, Maine and is a Forensic Accounting major. He is a huge Boston sports fan, especially of the Red Sox and the Patriots, and loves playing sports as well. He can’t wait to work with students!
Stephen Gray (Math, Education)
Stephen is in his second year from Turner, Maine. Stephen is studying secondary education for math. He will be tutoring math and education. Stephen is also a member of the track team and is looking forward to beginning his education work by assisting his fellow Thomas students.
Katriana Pratt (Business)
Katriana (Kat) is from Poland, ME and is a junior studying Sport Management. She is a member of the Soccer team as well as SAAC (Student Athletic Advisory Committee). She is very excited to be a Business tutor and help her fellow peers!
Maddie Rock (Psychology, Political Science)
Maddie is a second-year student from Bridgton, Maine. She is a Psychology and Political Science double major and is so excited to be the Psychology tutor! Maddie is also a part of the Softball and Soccer teams, the Student Philanthropy Team, and the Psychology Club. She is looking forward to meeting and helping new people!
Jessica Jensen (Science, Writing)
Jess is a second-year student from Naples, ME who will be tutoring science and writing this year. She is also a sprinter on Thomas College track team. She is still discerning her plans after college, but enjoys the idea of working with children. She is very excited to be able to help her fellow students!
Gabe Crosby (Writing, Education)
Gabe is from Poland, ME and studies Elementary Education. He is a member of the Indoor Track and Baseball teams, loves the outdoors, but also enjoys sitting on the couch and reading a good book. He is excited to start tutoring!
Susanna Owens (Accounting)
Susanna is a second-year student from Winn, ME. She double majors in Accounting and Finance. She enjoys reading and watching good shows, and she can’t wait to meet new students and work with them!
