Nina Brickett, Controller, is known for her tenacious work ethic and her deep commitment and love for the Thomas community.
Nina, an employee of the College for 12 years, is being recognized as this month’s Terrier STAR for her career focus, her care, and her sense of community.

Over the past two months, during a period of employee turnover, Nina effectively managed the responsibilities of three roles: her own position, CFO, and Director of Student Financial Services.
“She has consistently worked nights, weekends, and holidays to ensure that student financial aid awards are accurately packaged and that students and parents receive timely, thoughtful responses to their questions,” said a senior colleague. “Throughout this exceptionally demanding period, Nina has remained steadfastly focused on her top priority: delivering the highest level of service and support to our students. Her dedication, work ethic, and unwavering commitment to our community are deeply appreciated and have made a meaningful difference during a critical time.”
Another colleague shared: “She is doing so much behind the scenes, working on the weekends, and making sure the SFS staff feel fully supported. We appreciate her so much!”
“Other than the financial side of things, Nina knew little about the SFS processes and how things worked, but she has not only educated herself with the help of our previous SFS director but worked extremely closely with the employees in the SFS office to make sure everyone felt supported,” said a coworker. “In the midst of all of this, she has discovered ways to make this office way more efficient and in the long run save the department operational expenses. Nina is an incredible asset to Thomas College, and I cannot be more confident in that statement.”
Congrats, Nina!
