Cash Gifts

Annual Day of Giving
Each October, Terriers come together for 24 hours to raise money for Thomas College.

Day of Giving
Thomas College’s Day of Giving (D.O.G.) is an annual, 24-hour event that brings students, alumni, families, and donors together to support different areas of the college campus, including student scholarships, academic programs, and Terrier athletics. Terriers Together!
Scholarship Support
Students at Thomas College are supported through a variety of merit-based scholarships, as well as those funded through key partnerships, foundation grants, and scholarships established in memoriam. One example of how scholarships can be established at Thomas is the Cindy Lepley Memorial Scholarship.
Bricks
Woven throughout the beautiful campus of Thomas College, personalized bricks provide a physical connection between an individual or group and a physical location on campus. These bricks are a permanent testimony to the generosity and legacy of those who have given their time, talents, heart, and monetary support to Thomas College. The funds from the purchase of bricks go directly into our Capital funds to support all current and future Capital projects.

Thomas College partners with private Foundations whose missions and priorities align with our vision to be the College of the Future. Through multi-year or one-off grants, these foundations provide essential support for special projects, long-term investments, student scholarships, and capital improvements.
Examples of these dynamic partnerships include the Worthington Scholarship Foundation, the Harold Alfond Institute for Business Innovation, the Sukeforth Family Sports Center, and the Peter and Paula Lunder School of Education.
Laurie Lachance M.B.A. ‘92 served as the fifth President of Thomas College from 2012 to 2024, the first woman to hold the position. Under Laurie’s leadership, Thomas continued to evolve into a world-class institution dedicated to preparing students of all backgrounds for successful careers and futures.
To celebrate Laurie’s achievements on behalf of Thomas, the College established the Laurie Lachance Leadership Fund, which raised over $3 million in its first 18 months. Designed to support college-bound Maine students, the fund provides academic scholarships, paid internships, and student success grants.
