Thomas College Announces 2026 Immersive Academic Summer Camps for High School Students

WATERVILLE, ME, March 2026 — Thomas College is excited to welcome high school students from across Maine and beyond to participate in its 2026 summer camps offered on campus. These immersive academic camps are designed to provide hands-on learning, skill-building, and real-world exploration, giving students a taste of college life while diving into engaging academic and career pathways.

This summer’s lineup includes three distinctive overnight camp experiences, each tailored to deliver immersive instruction, teamwork, and personal growth:

  • Robotics Innovation Camp – Camp Cancelled
    July 12 – August 1, 2026

    Campers will explore robotics and innovation through hands-on design and building projects. Participants gain problem-solving skills and experience working with robotics tools in collaborative team environments.
  • K9 Searching & Detecting Camp
    July 19 – July 24, 2026

    This unique program introduces students to the science and practice of working with K9 teams in search and detection environments. Through supervised fieldwork and classroom learning, students gain insight into scent science and its real-world applications.
  • Wilderness Skills & Outdoor Leadership Camp
    June 27 – July 2, 2026

    Designed for students passionate about the outdoors, this camp teaches navigation, outdoor leadership, decision-making, and environmental stewardship through hands-on instruction and applied field experiences.

These immersive, hands-on experiences are designed to help students explore academic and career pathways while enjoying the excitement of staying overnight on a college campus, meeting new friends, and experiencing college life firsthand.
