WATERVILLE, MAINE, August 2023 — Thomas College is headed into the new academic year with energy and optimism. The College is expecting about 700 undergraduate students on campus.
This academic year, Thomas College has seen growth in enrollment from students coming from out-of-state and from other countries. Students from places ranging from Texas, Florida, California and as far as Ghana and Brazil will now call the Waterville campus home.
“New students always bring new energy to the campus. Graduate and undergraduate students are excited to come back to this beautiful campus to pursue their degrees,” said Thomas College Provost Thomas Edwards.
Thomas College kicks off its 130th academic year with new faculty members, a new look, a livestream partnership for access to its home athletic games, and its first year with an off-campus residence option by the lake at Snow Pond in Sidney.
The campus welcomed fall student athletes, early start students and tutors, community assistants and orientation leaders in mid-August and this weekend, Thomas College will welcome all resident students back to campus. New students are scheduled to move in on Saturday, September 2, and returning students move in on Monday, September 4. Classes begin on September 5.
