Connor Pellerin ’23 is putting what he has learned so for as an English student to use at his summer internship. He is currently a Drop Zone Manager and Marketer with Jump and Raft in Waterville, Maine, owned by alumnus Brad Fisher ‘02. In this internship, Connor assists with the logistics of the company’s sky diving procedures, as well as assisting with internal communications and managing the social media accounts.

“I enjoy this internship because it is an experience like no other. I have enjoyed the role of Drop Zone Manager because it has given me a chance to experience the role of management and has given me the ability to better my marketing skills,” said Connor. “This internship has helped me decide that my career path of choice is the field of marketing.”

Internships are an important part of the Thomas College experience, making them a foundational part of our guaranteed job program. Connor’s experience is a perfect example of this, as he has been able to explore his career interests, network with his community, and strengthen the skills he has developed in the classroom.

“I believe that Thomas College has helped to bring my promising future within reach by having the world’s greatest professors who have given me real-world lessons and experiences in the classroom, preparing me for the future career I am soon to follow,” said Connor. “Thomas College has also provided me with the most amazing staff in the Professional and Career Development Office where I was given the opportunity to be placed in the internship I am currently in today.”

Connor has truly reached for the sky with this experience, and we cannot wait to see where he lands following the completion of his degree.
